Spirit of Stirling Whisky Festival, Albert Hall, May 12th 2012

The countdown to the Spirit of Stirling Whisky festival is nearly over! The festival will bring together the best the Scottish Whisky industry has to offer in Stirling’s historic Albert Hall. General access tickets are sold out! Master Class tickets are still available!!!!

Spirit of Stirling Whisky Festival...

Come and experience the best whiskies that Scotland has to offer, with over 30 distilleries/brands exhibiting on the day and an estimated 200 different whiskies available. Arran Distillery will be running a master class from 1pm to 2pm, and Balblair will also be running their own master class between 3m and 4pm. Tickets for the Festival itself are now sold out , but tickets for the exclusive master classes are available! Expect some fantastic casks and first time bottles being cracked open for the festival.

Competition

Competitions are now closed - however, listen out on Central FM over the next couple of weeks to win tickets to the Festival Master Classes. Each Master Class will run for 1 hour at the Festival in the Lesser Hall. These will be small, intimate sessions for those that wish to learn a bit more about whisky. Attendees will also be tasting a specially selected range from the Distillery.
Tickets for the Master Classes are just £10 each and can be bought through this website. Alternatively, you can listen in to Central FM and hope that you win a ticket in the upcoming radio competitions.

Spirit of Stirling Whisky Festival

Behind the scenes of the first ever Stirling Whisky Festival is two local businessmen, and more importantly whisky lovers, Cameron McCann and Iain McMenemy. The Spirit of Stirling Whisky Festival will take place on Saturday May 12th 2012; doors open at 11.30am and last dram poured at 4.45pm. This event will bring together the best in Scotland, Stirling and Whisky.

There will be 25+ distilleries/brands from across the country, along with other exhibitors which will be related to the enjoyment and enrichment of whisky and Scotland.

Spirit of Stirling intends for the whisky festival to benefit Stirling and the surrounding area, and will include many local businesses from as wide and varied background as possible.

There will be two master classes held in the Upper Albert Hall during the event. Balblair and Arran distilleries will be running the classes - a must for those who wish to learn a bit more about whisky.
